Presenting paper at ICOME 2013

Eka and Sabrina presented their paper at the 1st International Conference on Mechanical Engineering (ICOME 2013) held in Lombok Island, 12-14 September 2013. They talked about “Hydrophobic silica coating based on water glass on copper by electrophoretic deposition.” Their work is an effort to protect copper at some applications from corrosion, especially in humid environment. Making the copper surface hydrophobic, it can also act as self-cleaning surface. The work was part of their final project for their bachelor graduation that was supported by the directorate General of Higher Education, The Ministry of Educational and Culture, Indonesia through PKM-P (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa – Penelitian).
