Proceeding of NNS2013 has been published by AIP

The collection of papers presented on the 5th Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Symposium (NNS2013; Gallery) held in Surabaya on 23-25 October 2013 has been published online by American Institute of Physics (AIP) (AIP Proceeding vol. 1586). This proceeding is edited by Prof. Heru Setyawan, Dr. Widiyastuti and Dr. Siti Machmudah and is open access that can be downloaded freely.

The NNS is a high-quality international scientific symposium held every two year that brings together scientist and engineers interested in the nanoscience and nanotechnology. This symposium is held under the auspices of the Materials Research Society of Indonesia (MRS-id) and the Physics and Applied Physics Society of Indonesia (PAPSI). The 4th NNS was held in Bali on September 23-25, 2011. This year, the 5th Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Symposium (NNS 2013), in conjunction with The 2nd Japan Powder Technology Forum, was held in Surabaya on 23-25 Oktober 2013 and organized by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and Padjajaran University (UNPAD) and supported by PT. Grafindo Nusantara and Horiba Scientific.

The aim of this symposium is to provide an up-to-date picture of the board research field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. Various topics concerning with nanoscience and nanotechnology, e.g., nanonaterials, nanoelectronics, etc., were discussed. Experts around the world shared new knowledge and exchange the knowledge and ideas in the field. This symposium was a good opportunity for the participants to learn together, to foster cooperation, to interchange ideas, and build capacity to get ready for any upcoming challenges.
