Badan Pengelolaan dan Perlindungan Kekayaan Intelektual (BP2KI) (Management and Protection of Intellectual Properties Bureau) of ITS just released a report on the h index of ITS faculties. The h index is a measure of one aspects of researcher performance released by SCOPUS, one of the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature. The h index is evaluated based upon the number of documents and number of citations.
According to the report just released this month (April 2013) by BP2KI, fifty percent of the top ten position is occupied by the faculties from the Department of Chemical Engineering. The top position is Prof. Heru Setyawan, and then followed by Dr. Widiyastuti and Dr. Setyo Gunawan in the second and third place, respectively. Prof. Sugeng Winardi and Prof. Arief Widjaja are in the fifth and ninth position, respectively. The complete list of the top ten can be seen below.
