Our former student, Dr. Ratna Balgis, passed the examination for Hiroshima University assistant professor (at Thermal-Fluid Eng. Lab., Dept. Chem.Eng.). She will start her job from March 1, 2014.
Dr. Balgis joined our laboratory when she was at the 4th grade bachelor student in 2006. After she got bachelor degree in 2007, she continued her study to master course, still in our laboratory, and got her master degree in 2009. Her thesis work during master course has been published in Asia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering. She received scholarship from Asea-Uninet (Austria) for her master course study. Then, she pursued her PhD degree at Hiroshima University supported by MEXT (Japanese Government) scholarship under a special doctoral course “Fostering Program for Practical Researchers and Engineers Distinguished in Technology Transfer.” She got her PhD in 2012. She published 8 papers in reputable international journals during her three years as PhD student. After finishing her PhD degree, she joined Hiroshima University as Postdoctoral fellow under Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).
Congratulation Balgis. We hope you can use this opportunity the best way you can. Good luck. May Allah bless you.
