Today is a busy day for us: (i) qualification exam, (ii) presentation of poster papers, and (iii) monitoring and evaluation of PKM-P (Students Creativity Program-Research).
Adrian Nur (doctoral student) took a qualification exam to be a doctoral candidate. The exam started from 11.00 a.m. and finished at 12.30 p.m. The examiners were Prof. Sugeng Winardi (ITS), Dr. Samsudin Affandi (ITS) and Dr. Agus Purwanto (UNS) with the advisers Prof. Heru Setyawan and Prof. Arief Widjaja. He successfully passed the exam and proceed to be a doctoral candidate.
As a mandatory for all undergraduate students who are taking their final research project (skripsi), they must present their progress work in a poster paper seminar held by our department before final presentation. Ten groups of our student members were presented their poster. Each group was evaluated by three lecturers. The poster presentation started at 13.00 p.m. and finished at 15.00 p.m. All lecturers and students of the Department of Chemical Engineering ITS could attend the session and ask questions.
They have worked hard since last week to prepare the posters to be presented. Hence, they were ready for the presentation although one of the students (Desy Nurwijayanti) got fever a few days before and during the presentation. We hope she will get better soon. Take care of your health Desy.
After poster paper presentation, five groups of our students who are receiving grant-in-aid for their final project from DGHE had to go for monitoring and evaluation of the progress of their work by reviewer teams assigned by DGHE. The monitoring and evaluation are aimed to select groups that can participate in PIMNAS (National Students Scientific Weeks) in UGM Yogyakarta.
